As the publication was called The Spiritual Treasure of Georgia, following the advice of the Cathlicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, his Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, it became obvious that churches and frescoes would not suffice to fully represent the richness of Georgia's spiritual and cultural heritage. It was decided to accomplish the project through three books. The First book features the churches, frescoes and some of the icons of Georgia.
Publishing House Khelovneba has been supporting Georgia's National policy in promoting culture and art for more than 50 years. The present Jubilee edition of a colored Georgian-English album, dedicated to the 2000th anniversary of the adoption of Christianity in Georgia, is a result of the tremendous work and at the same time, the basis for our future activities.
