Prospero's Books & Coffeehouse is looking for a Cafe Manager.

We require the services of a talented individual who loves coffee, tea and good food as well as an appreciation for good hospitality. The role involves the nurturing of a developed client base and the expansion of our shop into its new addition next door. Applicants must be prepared to lead a team, liaise with the owners and be adept in personal relations. We pride ourselves on attention to detail and insist on the highest level of service and quality products. We are looking for the right /person/ for our venue and the position is flexible depending on your level of experience, motivation, intelligence, and charisma.

The successful applicant will have extensive experience in the following areas:
  • Customer service
  • Coffee making and knowledge
  • Food service and knowledge
  • Cash management
  • Stock control and ordering
  • Computer literacy
  •  
In addition we seek an individual motivated to take on the following tasks:
  • Human resources including recruitment, training and management.
  • Customer relations
  • Marketing
  • Function management
  • Data analysis
  • Financial reporting
